What is a herdshare?

It is a herd of cattle, goats, sheep, etc., that is owned by several individuals.

Why a herdshare?

In Michigan, it is illegal to buy or gift raw milk. But if you own the animal, you can consume the milk it produces. By owning a share of an entire herd, you get a percentage of the milk that is produced every week. This is the purpose of our herdshare program at Twin Pastures llc.

How to become a herdshare member?

There is a contract and bill of sale that will need to be dated and signed before you can receive milk. This can be sent over email, signed and sent back to us. We will then finish up the contract with our signature and date and send it back to you, along with a link to pay for your share(s) and first month of boarding and care.

You can come out to the farm and see the milking operation and cows. We can go other and sign the contract then (payment due at signing), and you can pickup your first milk at the same time!

How do I get my milk?

You can come out to the farm every week and pick it up, or meet us in Hillsdale.
